How to play Lucky Balloon!

Dartslive launched a new game on Sept 18, 2012, called Lucky Balloon! This is a game for 2-4 players , the more the merrier.

The idea of the game is quite simple actually, players take turns to collectively "pump" up the balloon. The bigger the number you hit on the board, the faster the balloon inflates.  It will reach a screen-boggling size, with a death skull sign threatening imminent explosion, until it burst "boom". When that would happen is anyone's guess, though, as the system assigns a random "bursting point" for the balloon. When someone hits over the bursting point, the balloon will blow up and that person loses and gets eliminated from the game. Then you repeat the game again, until you're left with the last man standing.

During each round, you can choose to throw 1, 2 or 3 darts. Yes, you do not have to throw all 3 darts in a round. However, if you are hit with the "Unlucky" monster (shown in red above), then you will need to throw all 3 of your darts. Strategy wise, you should throw the highest score that you can with all your 3 darts during the early rounds, and then throw small numbers during the later rounds when the bursting point is very near. That's when the balloon turns purple with a death skull sign over it. But hitting small numbers doesn't mean you will always be safe, though!

At the end of the game, the loser is the one who burst the balloon and the "chicken" is the one who plays the most conservatively (i.e. throws less than 3 darts or hits small numbers all the time). Just a tip from our own experience playing : the bursting point is around the 160-220 points mark.

This is really a fun party game with no darts skills needed. To make it more fun, play with 4 drinking players and this simple guide: Throw less than 3 darts, drink the same number of beer shots. Loser of the game downs one glass and gets eliminated, the "chicken" of the game drinks 2 glasses. Last man standing wins a prize !
